PAINTED HELMETS

Some of our customers prefer the luster and durability of a painted helmet. We use quality DuPont, 3M, and House of Kolor products to provide exceptional quality and a unique look to your helmet. The painting process includes disassembly of the helmet, shell cleaning and sanding, application of quality primers and adhesion promoter, base-coat with several coats of clear urethane and re-assembly of the helmet. If your design includes graphics, these will be applied to the base-coat before the helmet is clear-coated. All painted helmets are color sanded, buffed and are tested for quality assurance before they are sent out. If your helmet requires stripping of old tape and adhesive there will be an additional $45 charge. One color painting and clear-coat for most helmets starts at $295. Any helmet we paint will also require a new leather edgeroll as we do not mask off edgerolls for painting, helmets are stripped all the way to the bare shell for the best finish possible.
